A highly efficient solution for complex glazed roofs

Developed in Germany and used extensively internationally, the Wicona Wictec 50 roof glazing system provides a highly efficient solution for glazed roofs for technically challenging projects.

The system, which can also be used for vertical glazing applications, will achieve large roof spans and complex shapes such as domes, facets and pyramids on high specification architectural schemes.

Advantages of Wictec 50 roof glazing

• Simple to fabricate and install, saving time on site
• Designed to provide highly efficient drainage – whether the requirement is for sloped glazing or more complex 3D glass roof constructions.  It uses penetrating transoms so the mullions and transoms overlap, allowing effective drainage on three levels, and avoiding pooling which can result in water ingress
• Engineered for the creation of large unsupported spans
• Sufficiently robust to meet specific project requirements for glazed roofs such as wind and snow loads
• A dry glazed system which will achieve water tightness without any reliance on sealants
• Fire rating to 30 minutes with the Wictec 50 FP option
• Structural glazing option to give the appearance of uninterrupted spans of glass
• Integrated flush pressure plates are possible for further aesthetic appeal.
